12 days of christmas
day 2
our outdoor christmas decorations are all about lights and greens and blessings.
this is the first year we are using multi-colored lights for the outdoors
(not the usual yellow colors that outlines the frame of the house)
the wreath on each windows and door are from the previous years
the bench is decorated with branches that were trimmed in the nursery
when we bought our fresh christmas tree.
i painted red an old plant pot i found by our door
when we woke up the next day after hurricane sandy.
it must have been blown away from one of the neighbors' backyard.
the logs are from the tree on our front yard that was put down
by the strong winds of sandy, luckily no damage done.
the street sign, made from the plywood i found in our garage,
painted forest green and stencil letter in creamy white
the snowman and the tree is one of the 4-season plaque decor
i got from a garage sale
as i write this post, i am just realizing now that this outdoor decoration
is not only simple and almost free, but also a sign of gratitude
for having a HOME
next: o christmas tree
